2. Go to Palace Square (cross Nevsky Prospect — the main avenue).

3. Find the Alexander Column in the center of Palace Square (see how it looks: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d5/WinterPalaceAndAC.jpg).
